He founded one of the first batch of privately owned trademark agencies after the government review and approval procedure for trademark agency and trademark agent was canceled by the State Council in 2003. Later on, having created patent agency,law firm and geographical indication company etc., he built Huangjinzhihui into a multi-dimensional platform covering services of intellectual property, science and technology, and law, with import and export businesses in over a hundred and fifty countries and regions around the world.

Also, he has led his company in winning such honors as “Trademark Agency Defense Protest Case Award” of the third China Trademark Festival in 2009(the Fisrt Prize), “Excellent Trademark Agency Award” for 7 consecutive years from 2012 to 2018, “Excellent Trademark Agency Case Award”in 4 consecutive China Trademark Festivals from 2015 to 2018, “Trademark Brand Building Excellence Award” in 2017, and one of the first batch of “Golden model for Trademark Agency Service(2018-2021)”.

In July, 2014, his exemplary deeds were listed in the book “Pioneer of Chinese Geographical Indications” published by China Industry and Commerce Press.

In September 3, 2017, he took an exclusive interview form“Highlight of the day”, which is a publication organized by the China Trademark Association and China Industry and Commerce Press for 2017 China International Trademark Festival, and on September 4th, the back cover on eighth edition of the publication was a whole page report, written by Li Chun, a famous reporter from China industrial and commercial news, with the theme "Making Golden Brand with Craftsmen's Spirit”. In March 2018, he was selected as the Cover person of the special issue  of “Elite Youth” Magazine for Two Sessions. With the theme on “Yang Yonggang, opening the road to prosperous agriculture through geographical indication trademarks”, this special issue gave an in-depth introduction of Yang Yonggang’s deeds to the participants of two sessions.

At the beginning of 2012, assisted Professor Dong Baolin in compiling “An Integration of China’s Trademark Law in a Hundred Years”, which is listed as one of the “12th Five-Year Plan” key book by State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China.

In August, 2014, published “private right is the root of geographical indications” in “Biweekly of Administration for Industry and Commerce”.

In August, 2014, published “on the private right of geographical indications” in “China Intellectual Property”.

In December, 2016, published “my view on the controversial issues of the amendment to trademark review and approval standard” in “Biweekly of Administration for Industry and Commerce”.

In March, 2017, published “the influence of the new‘trademark review and approval standard’ on trademark agencies”.

In May, 2017, published “the usage and improvement of GI trademarks” in “Biweekly of Administration for Industry and Commerce”

In November, 2017, published “more convenient, more logical and more effective--interpreting ‘notice of simplifying the application materials to benefit applicants’ from the perspective of agencies”.

Charity contributions

1. Appointed as“Wanrong economic development consultant”by Wanrong government and Party committee for his contributions to establishing the public brand “Wanrong Apple”.

2. In February, 2014, donated three hundred piece of GI literature to China GI Museum.

3. In August, 2016, as one of the three lecturers for the forum on poverty alleviation through trademark held by office of SAIC, undertook the poverty alleviation mission in Heilongjiang Province and Jiangxi Province.

4. In September, 2017, invited as member of expert consultant group to participate in the Forum on Precision Poverty Alleviation Using GI Trademarks in Ningde City, Fujian Province to study its experience on that,  together with the China Industry and Commerce Press, Xinhua News Agency’s National Financial Weekly, Legal Daily, Economic Daily, Mission The Central Chinese Children's Magazine and China Consumer News formed an interview with the news media interview group.

5. In June, 2018, donated 300 thousand CNY to the development foundation of Zhengzhou University, and Huangjinzhihui scholarship signing & granting ceremony was held on June 18 at the university.

6. In September, 2018, invited to give a lecture on at the training class of Targeted-poverty Alleviation through GI Trademarks hosted by state department of trade, commerce and market regulation in Langzhong, Sichuan Province.
